Shorter Media Matters & Mao: “I know you are, but what am I?”

"Manufacturing czar" Ron Bloom

Yesterday, I wondered how MediaMatters would respond to news that another Obama insider, “manufacturing czar” Ron Bloom, was caught on tape quoting “China’s Hitler,” Mao Zedung, approvingly in a recent speech.

As I suspected, Media Matters (a.k.a. The George Soros Steno Pool) is spinning the story the same way they did when Bloom’s White House colleague, Anita Dunn, did the same thing. Today they more or less cut and pasted their post about Dunn, sticking to their story that conservatives have quoted Mao too, so there!

However, numerous conservatives, including Newt Gingrich and John McCain, have approvingly cited the tactics of Mao, Vladimir Lenin, and the Viet Cong, stated that they had used those tactics in their political work, or have otherwise highlighted their philosophies, and yet have slipped under media conservatives’ communist radar.

I’ll leave it to others to argue about whether or not Gingrich and/or McCain meet their personal definitions of “conservative.” What counts are the examples Media Matters cites to mount their “gotcha” case.

We’re informed that “Barry Goldwater’s alter ego” (whatever that means) Stephen C. Shadegg “approvingly cited Mao.” This information has been gleaned from a) the ancient conservative-bashing bible, Richard Hofstadter’s book The Paranoid Style in American Politic, and b) Shadegg’s obit in the New York Times (the same New York Times that got the date of the moon landing wrong in their Walter Cronkite obit earlier this year…)

And Ralph Reed of the Christian Coalition reportedly said something about Maoist tactics back in the 1990s. More recently, Karl Rove said President George W. Bush “encouraged” him to “read a Mao biography”; Media Matters neglects to mention that that book was Mao: The Secret Lifenot a glowing hagiography by any means.

If Media Matters finds it acceptable to quote Barry Goldwater’s alleged best friend forty-five years after the fact to prove a dubious point, why do they object when we quote Bill Ayers or Reverend Jeremiah Wright or other radical Obama associates of more recent and relevant vintage?

They can dance their jig till it becomes a spectacle like River Dance.
Do mental twists like an Olympic gymnast. In the end we know who & what they are. These Communists can’t help themselves bragging of superiority. The Marxists in their minds know all, so everything else has to be suppressed at any cost. We know you, your concentration camps or gulags plus your hate for humanity. How many mounds of skulls do we have to see as a result of socialism. Before the World recoils over this political mutation that brings only death with its children, misery , Murder, with no Law but that of the strongman.
The ethical dearth based on relativism, not Equality of choice for the individual. Soros & his evil monkeys only want absolute control of all under them. Its like a sex drive gone mad. They drool at the thought of power like a wolf starving.
Communists or Socialists only worship death & power with the absolute sense of thheir right to force others to do what only they want.
