Obama Fiddles While the Iranians Build the Bomb

September 11, 2009

The timing of one of Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now! reports yesterday was chilling.

Just one day before the eighth anniversary of September 11, 2001, the day that a group of 19 Islamic terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jets and crashed two into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, one into the Pentagon and the fourth in a rural Pennsylvania field, killing 2,751 innocent people (2008 revised figure), Goodman reported that Iran “now possesses or is close to possessing enough enriched uranium to produce a nuclear weapon.”

Iran, a country currently run by an autocratic, anti-Western, terror-supporting Islamic theocracy that, along with much of the rest of the Islamic world, celebrated the events of 9/11, is now closer than ever to becoming a nuclear power, perhaps even more destabilizing and dangerous than North Korea.

From Goodman’s report:

On Wednesday, the US ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Glyn Davies, said the White House believes Iran is trying “to preserve a nuclear weapons option.”

Iran, whose President has called for Israel to be “wiped off the map,” and which has consistently resisted calls for transparency in its nuclear program, said earlier this week that:

Iran will neither halt uranium enrichment nor negotiate over its nuclear rights.  From our point of view, Iran’s nuclear issue is over. We will never negotiate over obvious rights of the Iranian nation.

The Iranians under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have already defied two UN Security Council resolutions demanding that Iran suspend enrichment, and Ahmadinejad has already made it clear that he will never comply with them or any future resolutions. This from a 2007 speech to the United Nations:

In the last two years, abusing the Security Council, the arrogant powers have repeatedly accused Iran and even made military threats and imposed illegal sanctions against it. Previously, they illegally insisted on politicizing the Iranian nation’s nuclear case, but today, because of the resistance of the Iranian nation…Iran has decided to pursue the issue through its appropriate legal path … and to disregard unlawful and political impositions by the arrogant powers.

In the meantime, the Iranians have reinforced the line they have drawn in the sand, and they’re waiting to see how President Barack Obama reacts.

Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Commission, said:

The world is observing curiously whether or not this [US] administration follows the same trend as the Bush administration — pursuing hostile political confrontation, using fabricated, baseless allegations.

September 11, 2001. Never Forget.

Obama, however, may be too distracted by his efforts at implementing socialism to be paying much attention to the Iranians.

Hopefully, they’re going to eliminate the Iranian nuclear threat in the very near future.

Don’t blame Obama, blame his go to policy advisor. Everytime he asks a question regarding Iran he gets the same answer “concentrate and ask again”. He must be getting tired of shaking that thing.

I didn’t catch the symbolism… I must have been having another senior moment.

In fact we’d be in MUCH better shape, if he fired all his czars & advisors, and used one of those 8 balls exclusively..

Israel should consider the Obama administration as a public ennemy and then proceed to halt Iran in any way they can.

      Why just Israel ?

It’s not mandatory that it should only be Israel responsibility but the fact of the matter is that they are the no 1 target of Iran and secondly, if Israel is to wait on Pbama, they might as well wait forever and get nuked out in a flick of a switch. At this time, it will be too late and it will be the end of the world for the modern occidental democratic world for sure.

I agree that Israel should deal with Iran, not that anyone would help them now…

But what I actually meant in my previous post was why should only Israel consider the Obama administration as a public enemy ?

Probably every logical and reasonable democratic and secularly governed nations of this world.

Only the Islamo-fascists nations and communists ones are friends with Pbama nowaday, it could probably explain why he is so hated amongst freedom loving americans who truly believe and value freedoms and liberties with the responsibilities that goes with them (some people actually just want the goodies but that doesn’t come free actually).
