Olbermann, Maddow ratings = abysmal

September 17, 2009

Olbermann and Maddow

Drudge reports the following up-to-date audience numbers in the cable news race:

FOXNEWS BECK 3,421,000
MSNBC MADDOW 1,369,000

Apparently there isn’t a very big market of people eager to hear blowhards like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow ceaselessly trumpet the hackneyed, old canard which says that any disagreement with President Obama’s far-left policies must necessarily be rooted in racism.

On what, pray tell, do Olbermann and Maddow blame their own pathetic ratings? Certainly they can’t blame racism. I humbly suggest that their dismal numbers are a result of the fact that comparatively few Americans — of any skin color — can stomach the sight or sound of a hateful, raging, smug, intolerant, glib, closed-minded white ideologue, any more than they can stomach a black ideologue of similar description. That said, presumably this pair of non-entities can find solace in the fact that Americans’ utter lack of interest in them has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Can someone explain to me what keeps these people on the air? They are failures NBC Sunday night football had people refusing to watch it because they had Olberman there so I believe they dumped him from that. Does NBC not care that there network is going down the tubes because of this fringe element.

I’m a Republican who gave up on O’Reilly ( boring) and switched to Olbermann who I find entertaining. He rants, he sputters, he salivates, he pontificates, he rants, throws tantrums and papers, breaks glass, spews invectives and spins ( to use a Bill-0 term) like a dreidel on High Holy days. Do I agree with him?..of course not… but I believe in that adage..keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

GE, the parent company of NBC could care less over MSNBC’s ratings. Quid Pro Quo .. MSNBC serves as the liberal rubber stamp network and hypocritical defenders for the Obama/Pelosi/Reid/Frank/Conyers/etc policies, GE receives the huge “Green” energy contracts “sole source” .. It’s about the money..

We have got to keep the pace going…whether its the media, the scientists, the huge not-profit scammers i.e. ACORN and other Leftist pawns…as soon as the $ dries up the will either change their tune or they will become obsolete.

As you will likely see unfold in the next few weeks/months with ACORN. We infuse millions of tax-payer dollars into these “not-for-profit” “social service organizations (or provide tax relief/incentives) and look at what the do with the money…

Also, try to get the auditors report from your state. They are charged with monitoring the “pass-through” funds from US Agency of Human Services (AHS) to social service agencies in your state…you will be shocked!

Join (free) and look at the IRS paperwork for these “not-for-profit” organizations…the pay/benefits for their top people will astound you…all for the good of the people of course.

And then if you don’t have time to get overly involved at least write letters to your congressmen, representatives and esp. local media

Be this all as it may, I notice that Olberman and Maddow are still on the air. So, someone above them in the MSNBC hierarchy is pleased with what they are putting out there.

    And that’s all tha matters.

Don’t look for any change in the big networks in their slants and spins leftward in the newscasts. I do not believe they care about ratings or profits. It’s about ideology.

MSNBC is the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party and is funded indirectly by our government.

As Julie stated above, if the news media wasn’t as currult as our government has become, we would have been made aware of what has transpired over a very long period of time.

And, of course, we wouldn’t have to be yelling about it through this media.

Are people just now waking up? Let’s hope so!

Obermann and Maddow do very well for themselves seeing as MSNBC is not on the first tier on many Satellite/cable networks as are CNN and Fox.

MSNBC is a “first tier” channel on every cable system I buy ads on. They have moved down the list, but are still on a channel number below 100, so that on most cable systems people who don’t have a cable box or just get basic cable still get them. That’s not the excuse, it’s that they stink.

We have Comcast cable. CNN, HLN, CNBC, FOX are on 44, 45, 46, 48 respectively. MSNBC is on 128.
We have another house on the coast where we use Dish Network. Since we are not there that often we subscribe to the first tier. Both CNN and FOX are there, but MSNBC isn’t.

Your comment is exactly why this administration and it’s supporters are in so much trouble and teetering on collaspse. You and your accolites have screamed race so much it no longer has the sting it did. You need to look in the mirror and examine your own heart before accusing anyone of racism. You can believe anything you want, Jack, but it was YOU who wrote that Rachel “was vile” and should move in with Rosie. You may disagree with her, but what make her vile in your mind other than her homosexuality? She has had conservatives on her show and treated them very respectful. In fact in her intros, she outlines her guest postions, and then asks them if there was anything she said that misrepresented anything.

      She quite fair.
