In 1969 to 1970, Tom Hayden was advocating military uprisings, guerilla warfare in American cities conducted by American radicals and saying that the country was going fascist and that we would be in jail within a year. I mean, I knew Hayden and that’s what he was saying. In 1972 he and Fonda organized caucuses among Democrats with the help of Democratic congressmen…  And the left, part of the Democratic party and part of the McGovern apparatus, the party was formed that created these caucuses. So the legislative party and the political apparatus came under the control of the left, the same left that had been in the streets in the Sixties calling for revolution and, you know, it’s called — it’s called a boring from within. Which is to transform the system by becoming part of it…

Interview with Glenn Beck from November 2007

For more on Boring From Within see this entry in Horowitz’s “Alinsky, Beck, Satan, and Me” series.

David’s incite into our present political situation should not be tossed aside lightly for his assessment is very accurate relating to the make-up of Obama’s administration. He may be called a traitor to those on the left, but quite possibly a salvation to the majority who value freedom.

Some people carry adolescent fantasies of a perfect world into their dotage. They believe that it could be acheived if only the stupid others would put them in charge.Well-they did.Obama sashayed onto his platform -uttered the word change and his besotted fans swooned and cheered and wet themselves with joy . The doubters succumbed to his soaring retoric and , despite all of the frightening negatives about him and his associates(which were there for all to see) , elected him. Because his snake oil made them feel so good and they liked his style we are all now being governed by the simplistic scripts of socialisn or worse.
