Obama Ignoring His Responsibilities, Says Glenn Beck

October 1, 2009

Glenn Beck said yesterday that President Obama shouldn’t be jetting off to Copenhagen, Denmark, in order to help promote Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympics.

While the president is jetsetting around the world, he’s ignoring his responsibilities as America’s military commander-in-chief, Beck argued.

The troops that are coming home dead from Afghanistan. And, while he’s found the time to talk to everyone but the Food Network and FOX News about his Chicago White Sox, Obama has only had one meeting with his national security advisers to discuss the 66-page memo from General Stanley McChrystal from August, which says troops are urgently needed.

General McChrystal, Beck said the other day, still hasn’t received orders from the president about troop strength in Afghanistan. McChrystal says an extra 30,000 soldiers are needed to train local troops and beat the Taliban.

The report was submitted in late August but the president hasn’t bothered to make a decision yet, Beck said.

McChrystal said the troops are urgently needed “or we lose,” in Afghanistan.

Strangely familiar to the situation where special ops had Bin Laden in a camp, ready to take him out, waiting for Clinton to “make the call” and he was just too busy to answer. I hope the military realizes how little their lives are worth to these people.

I read somewhere that Slick Willie was getting sloshed at Greg Norman’s house in Florida when that happened…

It is my understanding, I live somewhat near Norman’s previous home, that the EMTs said that some guy punched him grabbing a part of his wife anatomy. When I asked a “reporter” for a local newspaper his response was “so what?”. (Publishers of the news that only they want you to know and that furthers their political agenda, a/k/a, censorship}.

Yes, he was uncontrollably drunk. Fortunately, he didn’t play with the nuclear “black box” but, as a person who couldn’t turn on his computer, we were safe.

He claimed that the CIA couldn’t reach him. Fortunately we didn’t have a nuclear attack but, then again, what would he have done? Tell tell victims “I feel your pain” then go back to the golf tournament where he was hustling chicks.

The actual story was as follows.

The President always travel with a military aide, who carries the “football”

Either the NSA or the SecDef called the military aid & said he had to speak to potus right away.. The aide told Cliton that there was an important call for him and Cliton said to tell him he’d call back.. The aide told the caller what potus said, and the caller got irate and ordered him to get Cliton on the phone… the aide approached Cliton again saying that the call was urgent and that it was a military matter in which time was of the essence… Cliton again said NO.. I’ll speak to him later… After the caller started screaming at him and demanding that he put the phone in Cliton’s hand REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE WAS DOING..the aide approached Cliton once more, and repeated the message and Cliton got irate because his wishes were being ignored, and started yelling at the aide…..

The details about the situation are laid out in Terry Reed’s book “Compromised”

It should be required reading because it explains the truth about Cliton, how he got to be president, and many of the criminal and traitorous acts he committed while in office…

Ignoring his responsibilities or taking on more than the constitution provides the Executive branch.

Obama administration is “unwilling to wait for congress to act”, so they do it themselves…
What’s next? What other arm of our central government will be used by this admin to control us?

I doubt very much that Barack Obama ever read that 66-page memo. He seems to be intellectually lazy and indifferent towards the everyday responsibilities associated with the presidency. Obama is likely a narcissist who believes that he merely needs to say a few words here and there to accomplish his goals. He doesn’t read much of anything because, on a gut level, it’s perceived as not necessary. One supposedly needs only to embrace the Hegelian concept of inevitable historical progress. The results are preordained and our efforts are actually inconsequential.

Very similar to the attitude the Olympians portray to mortals in ancient Greek theology.

So when does Zeus start mating with the morals? Maybe, if he gets a second term?

That would imply that he is a “Hero” (term for demigods). Remember though, Hero’s lives are always a tragedy.

Or a comedy. But that would depend on perspective, wouldn’t it.

Headed the Harvard Law Review but never published a review.

Headed the Senate Subcommittee on Afghanistan and never had a meeting.

Won the 2008 election by a substantial margin! Never under-estimate the ignorance of the American voter.

You have to wonder if the elites know what a hand full of dirt smells like. Or trying to get the grease off your hands from working on your car so you can get to work the next morning.

Obama scares the hell out me. He’s kind of like the manager of a candy store letting school children take care of business while he runs off to the Mercedes dealership.

Agreed. Obama scares me too. I have two teenage sons. Both my husband and I served in the military and we both respect the military and believe it to be a noble profession. Unfortunately, if Obama is still president when they graduate from high school should either of them have any inkling of joining we will encourage them to do anything else with their lives. Right now is not the time to serve-not when there is a Commander who thinks that the lives of these men and women are not worthy of a conversation with his hand-picked adviser. My heart goes out all service members and their families. The sacrifices that they make every day (Michelle are you listening?) and their Commander does not care. Shameful!!!!!

Of course President Obama didn’t read the memo, it wasn’t typed up on the teleprompter and put in front of him. Personally, I don’t think he had any valid reason to go to Copenhagen, simply because DC and the 50 states aren’t Chicago, and he seems intent on paying back chicago favors.

How do you make a decision when you don’t have the intellectual tools with which to do so?

Added to the list of History’s Greatest Lies: Obama is intelligent. This is a false myth perpetrated by his Liberal/Left/Progressives, John Podesta, George Soros, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Eric Schmidt (and his Google 1984 cookies), et. al. and their fellow travellers in the media.

IOC Thugs 1; Chicago Thugs 0. To paraphrase Axelrod and Emanuel, a Loss is a Loss. That’s what happens when BHO can’t read what someone else wrote from a teleprompter and you are up against opponents who are as violent, greedy and disingenuous as you are.

No intelligent president who had sensible advice, and listened to it, would ever have put himself in the position of — literally — going begging to the IOC, and risk the figurative slap in the face that BHO reseived today. But — this is the same humongous ego that Sarkozy commented on during the G-20, that thinks it can talk Iran out of going nuclear, talk Muslims out of hating us, and talk Americans into giving up their health care for a socialist boondoggle. This guy’s advisor is his bathroom mirror, and the advice is worth exactly what he pays for it. The world is already laughing at this “president” and he hasn’t the smarts to ‘get it’. Now, watch him try to blame this one on Bush. Hah!

I doubt that he went to beg…

The chosen one doesn’t beg, he COMMANDS

More likely he went over there to TELL THEM that he wants it in Chicago, and then dangled some under the table payoff, or over the table threats to insure that he gets what he wants… i.e.:

He went there to make them an offer they couldn’t refuse…
