maura

Everyone meet Maura, our family's Siberian Husky. She's at the VET today getting spayed. My wife April is very worried about her. Maura is usually with me while I'm blogging and editing NewsReal. That's half of yours truly on the left there.

She is just gorgeous! Almost as gorgeous as my Norwegian Forest Cat. I hope she feels well soon.

Makes me want to get one just like her. Would a Husky integrate easily with 3 resolutely territorial felines?

      Sure…

As soon as the Husky learns that the Cool Katz are in charge and not to be messed with…

      Dog’s have owners… Cats have staff !

        Swemson,

That is so true! LOL !!! I have to say I would be a bit worried bout bringing a puppy in. I would have to guard the puppy or keep him/her in a crate be cause my kitteh weighs about 27 pounds now. I think a Siberian would be a cool cat because I have heard they do not shed!

Siberians do shed…. but they’re gorgeous, so who cares…

They are also 100% hypoallergenic. Norwegians are almost 100% hypoallergenic, & there’s one domestic breed that’s not very allergenic, & that’s the Maine Coon…

Siberians are also the most people oriented cats… Mine fight for position in bed at night… Zeppo likes my left armpit, & sllps on his back with his head on my shoulder… Chico likes my right side because my hand is there to scratch his back, and Minnie likes to sleep on my feet, because whenever I move them she gets to play with the mystery thing under the covers that she can’t see…

The dog will either become friendly with the cats if they’re amenable, or, he’ll soon learn to leave them alone…. Don’t worry about the dog… The gets won’t screw with the dog unless the dog screws around with them first…

Do your cats still have their claws? Maura and our cat Butters fight all the time. (Though they sort of play fight.) Might just be because Maura is still a puppy.

David, half of you looks very comfy in the p.j.’s and flip-flops. Will you speak with our employers about changing the dress codes for the rest of us???I for one would really appreciate it. I am actually jealous. Great looking pup.

Working from home does have its perks.

That’s a very nice husky dog you own. I used to have a turtle when I was young.

While I’m passing by, since this is an open thread, permit me to plug some items from 3 blogs I run. Let’s see what I’ve got…

From my politics blog: an Indian farmer’s daughter succeeded in thwarting a terrorist attack on her father.

From my comics blog: DC is continuing to poorly market and promote the Titans.

And, from my game blog: the GI Joe video game made by Konami in 1992!

Thanks for your time and attention.

      Thanks.

I never played that GI Joe game. The one I remember is the one for NES where you could pick 3 GI Joes and switch back and forth between them over the course of each level.
