O’Reilly Clobbers Olbermann and Brown in the Ratings

October 10, 2009

The Five Feet of Fury (NewsReal’s Kathy Shaidle) just sent me this link comparing Bill O’Reilly’s, Keith Olbermann‘s, and Campbell Brown’s recent ratings.

FFF’s reaction:

This is neither surprising nor mysterious to anyone who follows the news. The liberal media is in deep denial about how defective their product is. It’s borderline pathological. They assign all kinds of reasons why, other than the real reason: They have a crappy product. Don’t they have marketing consultants telling them how to improve their audience share? Apparently not. Beats the hell out of me why they can’t figure it out.

If Olbermann, Matthews, and Maddow are their star performers, what does that say about MSNBC?

Their mouths are gagged with a bonanza of G.E products.

    No surprise.

However, I’m starting to lose interest in O’Reilly. He said the other night that although he didn’t agree that Obama deserved the Noble he thought it was good for America.

And he had the radical Marc Lamont Hill on again.

For me, it’s not so much that O’Reilly’s ratings are so high as that Olbermann’s are so low 🙂

Which sounds vaguely “Leninist” of me, come to think of it. Hmmm. Better watch that.

O’Reilly’s program is a news magazine. Some articles are tabloid journalism and some are aimed at popular sentiments-(missing co-eds on Caribbean islands), Other segments might fit into Bill’s Catholic world-view and reflect a cross section of the viewing public. I’ve been watching Bill for years. Sometimes I turn the channel. As for Olbermann or Brown, I don’t watch programs that expound points of view that I heard in college decades ago. I rejected that vicious leftist menace when I started to pay taxes, bought a gun and worked for a living. I reject anyone who calls me names instead of formulating a well thought out discourse. Olbermann is a great example of that rejection.

Bob, unfortunately not everyone has grown up – there’s hope?

    Bob and Julie,
The are two populations our age. Those that have held on to the power to the people socialistic viewpoint that we hear and sometimes esposed (me) in the 60′ and 70’s. And then there are those like me (eventually) that graduated from college, became an independent thinker, got a job, had a family and realized how utterly baseless an stupid my previous leanings had been. I had actually become what I was fighting against. On my 30th birthday,my mother had an interesting comment. She stated that she knew that my intelligence had not gone to waste and that it took a reality check, and having a family to be responsible for to “clear the garbage” from my head. You know, mom’s are usually right.

We have to realize that the ‘liberals’ especially those, like our president and the Bill & Hillary Clinton heirachy have trouble telling the truth. That is the reason the ‘liberals’ have not yet been able to air a program that is successful. Even with the gigantic flow of funds from the extreme left, the platitudes of the ‘media’ bigwigs (like ABC, CBS and NBC) and the use of ‘high profile ‘ hollywooders’ nothing has caught fire like the honest ‘CONSERVATIVE’ personalities. That is why the ‘liberal members of congress’ are trying to silence the conservative messages that contain more TRUTH about what is going on in Worthlessness, DC. We never hear from the likes of Obama, Pelosi and Reid the truth about what is being done behind close d doors.
Will someone PLEASE explain to pres BHO the true definition of ”TRANSPARENCY’.
