Open Thread: The Anita Dunn Monster-Saint Free Association Game

One of these things is not like the other....

White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has famously named her two favorite political philosophers Mao tse-Tung and Mother Teresa. One of them was history’s greatest monster, the other its most recent living saint. The pair has nothing in common except that they both helped people meet God.

So, in Anita Dunn’s spirit, what associations can we make of totalitarian monsters and inspirational heroines?

How about “Adolf Hitler and Hildegard Von Bingen”?

“Leon Trotsky and Maria Von Trapp,” perhaps?

Have at it.

How about Ayatollah Khomeini & Murphy Brown ?

I’ve always admired Attila the Hun and Mary Poppins.

Get him a little loaded first, and he might… 🙂

But if it turned out to be a girl, he’d probably behead the both of them…

I doubt if the evil old bastard would have had anything to compare it to…

But it’s an interesting thought… in fact it might have given him a heart attack…

If he had a heart that is…

We have a cardiac health care facility here in Memphis that has a tag line on it’s adds that goes something like “What we have in common is …..” and then it switches to each Doctor or nurse and each one says “…a heart.” I can imagine the same commercial switching from say, Mother Theresa “,… a heart” to Mao “…nope..” to Mary Poppins “..chimm chimmeree…a heart” to Hitler…nine..” to Maria von Trapp…” re mi…a heart..” you guys get it.

find the video…you can make a composite that will be really funny.

As a former songwriter and musician, I was deeply influenced by Jim Morrison and the Singing Nun.

How about Dr. Joseph Mengele and Dr.Albert Schweitzer. Both doctors, committed to care for humanity. Both in direct contradiction.

Again, Anita Dunn (Dumb)-must be a from an insane asylum. She must pray one day then wants to kill the next day.

If some one wrote this story for a comic book no one would buy it, they would say the polt line was too unrealistic.

I used Adolph Hitler and Gandhi, but there are lots of good pairings. For example:

    Caligula and Thomas Aquinas
Osama Bin Laden and Moses (both spent a lot of time in the desert)
Robert Mugabe and Martin Luther King

This started out as a “STRAIGHT” game… you know.. Odd Couples… but still One Man & One Woman………

I’d hate to see it polluted by a bunch of Marxists pushing a gay agenda ! 🙂
