Would Larry David Urinate on the Koran? – by Jamie Glazov

October 29, 2009

david

In a recent Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, Larry David accidentally urinates on a picture of Jesus while he is a guest in someone else’s home. This, in turn, leads to a misunderstanding in which the homeowners think they have a miraculously weeping Jesus.

Some Christians are understandably upset.

Just some thoughts on what this episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm has revealed:

Are producers of this show, or Larry David, or anyone else connected to it fearing for their lives right now? Are there Christian groups calling for the death of anyone in connection to this episode?

In comparison, let us say, to the Muhammad cartoons riots and death threats, what does this say about Islam and Christianity? Which faith is a Religion of Peace and which one is not?

Would the producers of this show have just as easily allowed a scene in which Larry David urinates on a Koran? He couldn’t urinate on a picture of Muhammad because we all know that making a representation of Muhammad gets you an immediate death sentence. So we have to settle for the Holy Book. But how much does anyone want to bet that this would never be allowed?

Question: Why in our culture is urinating on Jesus easily permitted but urinating on the Koran is simply unthinkable? What does this signify?

And why is it that the people who right now are rolling their eyes and saying that Christians should get a life because this is freedom of expression, the same ones who would be up in arms if Larry David had done the same thing to the Koran? They are the ones who blamed the artists of the Muhammad cartoons for provoking and upsetting Muslims. They are the ones who argue that, when it comes to the sensibilities of Muslims, free speech has limits. If Curb Your Enthusiasm had an episode in which Larry David urinated on a Koran, they would be on the front lines saying that this is Islamophobia and that we must be sensitive to the feelings of Muslims, etc. It would be deemed as hate speech. There would be lawsuits and the show would be cancelled and David’s career would be over.

HBO has come to the defense of the episode, saying that it is all about parody. Everyone needs to lighten up. So, if Larry David urinated on the Koran, would HBO tell everyone they need to lighten up because it is parody? What does it say that we know for a fact that the latter would simply never happen?

What meaning and lesson do we draw from this?

After 9/11 and the later cartoon controversy and the forced bringing into the public discussion of the “precious” sensitivities of Muslims worldwide it really makes obvious the absurd way that religion is dealt with in the modern liberal West. At this point, given the proved threat that Islam has shown itself to be to standard liberal notions of freedom, for anyone to take shots at Christianity or any religion while not including Islam in that mocking really proves the cowardess of the mocker like nothing else could. They would be better off to not joke about any religion than to joke about Christianity while remaining silent or even being obsequious about Islam. In addition to comedy there is another area where this stupendous absurdity reveals itself. Look some of the Black Metal bands which attack Christianity with unrestrained abandon in their music. How tough they think they are but which one of them would dare treat Islam and Muhammad with such contempt in their music even in one single song? No, it is just Jesus and Christianity that engenders such a response – but it says in the Bible that Jesus would be singularly reviled and mocked so it is not a surprise. But from the standpoint of any “artist” who does attack Christianity they should know that their cowardice is lit with spotlights when they remain silent about Islam or Muhammad.

      Timmy;

      S0…

Does that mean, that you’re OK with anyone creating a parody about anything christian, as long as they also, AT THE SAME TIME, take a few cheap shots at Islam, Judiasm, Hindus, Buddhists, & Druids ?

I don’t see the real message coming from the show the same way that you do…

To me, the more important message to be learned here, is that the claim that islam is a religion of peace is complete and utter BULLS*^T !

Many here are rightfully aware of the breakdown of our society’s values, principals and traditions, and it’s certainly true that much of that breakdown goes hand in hand with the secularist’s view of religion in general. But I see it as a refutation of ALL religion… not just christians… Look at this objectively… Christianity is by far the dominant religion in America. When you remove the 16% who claim no religious affiliation, christianity represents 93.3% of the rest )the other 84% )…

So doesn’t it stand to reason that anyone creating a parody on a religious theme or idea, or making fun of religion itself, is most probably going to pick a christian target ?.. There simply aren’t enough Buddhists here for it to work as a successful parody…

We should be proud of the fact that here in America, words and actions that seem so incredibly insulting to some people, do NOT engender such rage and violence as they do in the world of Islam… It’s about the difference between a free society with free speech, and the world of islam..

The mere fact that somebody CAN make a parody of such a sensitive issue as religion, shows how incredibly superior our culture is to that of Islam… Jamie’s speculating on what might have happened if Larry had pissed on a Koran, is right on the money… those lunatics would be out protesting and threatening the lives of everyone on the show…

I remember, as a child, growing up in a jewish family, how jews loved to poke fun at themselves… “Q: What does natural childbirth mean to a jewish princess ? A: Checking into the hospital with no makeup or jewelry” That of course doesn’t mean that jews enjoy it when others made jokes about how cheap all jews are, but that’s a normal reaction. Of course christians get insulted when someone actually attacks their religion, it’s also a natural reaction… But what I hear all the time, sounds more like christians complaining that christianity is the ONLY religion under attack… when to me it’s not. Indeed, attacks against religion can be totally rational and justified.. if we’re talking about islam…

I’m sure that there are many christians here who see this in only one way, that he pissed on a picture of jesus, and therefore the INTENT of the writers was to INSULT christianity…. I’m not sure that it was…

The story line, accidently pissing on the picture, and then having people assume that it’s a miracle, that the picture of jesus seems to be crying, while tasteless and inconsiderate to be sure, is actually a legitimate parody… The story line wouldn’t work if he pissed on a torah… one simply doesn’t find many torahs lying around in people’s bathrooms, … and of course the idea of a torah crying wouldn’t make sense… Christians frequently see miraculous images of jesus appearing in everything from the clouds, to potato chips… maybe THAT was what Larry was poking fun at… after all, the image of jesus is so ubiquitous in our society, that the joke couldn’t possibly work with any other religious symbol….

Jamie, while drawing his comparison between christianity and islam, clearly shows that Islam’s barbarism is SO INSANE, that it literally can’t even be considered to be a legitimate religion, let alone a religion of peace….

But then again, perhaps we’re all wound a bit too tightly about any matters pertaining to religion…

I realize there are a lot of issues that could be discussed around this. I would say that most Christians are not upset about this, I for one couldn’t care less what that nitwit does on his ridiculous program. I first heard about this from Michael Savage who spent almost two full shows on it, but even he seemed sort of frustrated that Christians were not up in arms. Christians just don’t care because they know Jesus is mocked, it is predicted in the Bible. I was just focusing directly on the cowardice of not mocking Islam. The Black Metal groups that I mentioned are not primarily in America, that is worldwide, primarily in Europe, beginning in northern Europe. One could say they directed their rage at Christianity because they claim Christianity took northern Europe from the pagans, but with the massive inroads Islam is making in Europe certainly someone would take notice. There are some bands that focus on pagan ideas not “anti-Christianity” per se. But no, I stand by my comment that in the West any artist who continues to attack or bash or whatever it is they do, against Christianity solely while remaining meticulously silent about Islam – particularly after 9/11 and particularly after seeing neighborhoods and towns turn Islamic in Europe – with native women being raped by the invaders and the native “men” doing nothing about it, well the list goes on, is just exposing their cowardice. Sure, like with everything else connected to Islam one could say they just don’t want to die, that they are not ready to give their life for their art. And that does speak to a broader issue – that allowing Islam into the West will destroy freedom of speech first and then gradually many other freedoms and that most definitely is NOT FUNNY, but perhaps the most insidious effect it has is turning so many into cowards, or if they were cowards all along exposing their cowardice so directly.

And to be fair, my comments would apply not just to artists who attack Christianity while remaining silent about Islam but also atheists and various assorted social commentators or activists or organizations who fight relentlessly to remove all traces of Christianity from our society while remaining strangely silent about Islam. 9/11 and events since force any rational person to widen their scope and deal with the reality of Islam and to the extent that anyone continues to focus solely on Christianity they are simply put a ridiculous person, an absurd twit.

        Swemson,

Let’s watch for when Larry David pees on the Torah. Then I might consider that a parody. But deliberately writing a script of him peeing on a painting of Jesus is a gigantic pee in the face of all Christians around the world. Larry David will pee in his pants when he faces Jesus directly and reaps the harvest of his self glorifying profiteering at the expense of Jesus. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.

        Swemson,

The character one chooses to play in any show says volumes about who they are in real life. The person Larry David is a disgusting entity who makes money by behaving like a 2 year old; he is completely un-respectable.

What are your comments on my prior question to you?

“Let’s watch for when Larry David pees on the Torah.

Also, how would you respond when someone does this to someone with who you have a deep loving relationship on TV, insulting your loved one in front of the whole world and then getting paid big money for doing it?

          Clarifying my last paragraph…

Should read: “Also, how would you respond when someone does this to someone with whom you have a deep loving relationship; insulting your loved one on TV in front of the whole world and then getting paid big money for doing it?” Christianity is not just some empty tradition. It is real and it is the fullest expression of life possible. To degrade it like this leads people to think it is not real and can result in their never experiencing the joy and wholeness that comes with giving their life to Jesus. Why would you or anyone else want to be a party to that degradation?

Why in our culture is urinating on Jesus easily permitted but urinating on the Koran is simply unthinkable? What does this signify?

What it signifies, of course, is a series of victories by secularist radicals over the past century, culminating in mass self-abnegation of pride, value, and simple appreciation of Western civilization. Even those who do see the folly and self-destructive consequences of refusing to defend the orderly, just, and free society we are blessed with, while elevating ideologies inimical to that society, are cowed into silence for fear of being labeled insensitive, intolerant, or, that mother of all cowardly silencers, racist. When Christ is free game for any witless poltroon, while Islam is inviolable, how far from its terminus can Western civilization be?

But, yeah, don’t hold your breath waiting to see a Muhammadan counterpart of Andres Serrano’s masterwork of sophomoric squalidness.

All of the mentions of Biblical people or concepts in Islam are distorted or perverted to something different under Islam. To paraphrase another saying (“the names were changed to protect the innocent”) in the case of Islam “the names were retained to confuse the gullible”. For instance, when Mary is mentioned it is not to respect her but to mock Christians who believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, Mary is brought up to bash over the head the idea that Jesus was just a man born of a woman. Similar distortions occur with virtually all other figures and events. The Jesus of the Koran is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Koran categorically denies that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead – and without these Christianity is nothing, but then that is the point isn’t it. So no he most definitely did not urinate on anything even remotely connected to Islam – and if he had you can be absolutely sure that he would be grovelling and scraping and bowing in absolute complete humility begging for forgiveness from the wonderful honorable peaceful Muslims that he so horribly and inexcusably offended.

John, Jesus may feature “prominently” in the Koran but Islam highly insults and disrespects Jesus because it tries to rob him of who he is and attempts to take away from him his greatest act and purpose.

You are exactly right Timmy. Islam rejects the Trinity and rejects that Christ is the Son of God. It rejects that he was a combination of man and God. It rejects that Christ is an atoner for sins. It denies that he was crucified, died and was buried, and it denies the Resurrection. Islam denies everything to do with Christianity’s message about Jesus.

It is said that Islam “respects” Jesus. Is this respect? If Christ’s main purpose was to die on the cross to redeem mankind, and there is a religion out there that “respects” Jesus but says that he did not die on the cross, then what does this really mean and what is the agenda of this religion’s disposition toward Jesus?

    • Timmy permalink

Only Islam could claim to “respect” as a “prophet” someone that according to them lied about who he was. But I guess the same thing could be said about Muhammad and look how they revere him.

Again… what we’re really doing here is showing how absurd it is to consider Islam a religion of peace…

Islam is based on a crazy-quilt of lies and contradictions… it’s not even fair to call it a cult imho.. to me it’s more like a case of mass hysteria and insanity.. It’s not a religion, it’s a mental disease… and a deadly one at that !

  6. October 29, 2009 4:37 pm

It means that Jesus is who he said he is: The Way, the Truth and the Life. Why bother to pee on the Koran, a photo of Obama or the Dali-lama…they mean nothing compared to the Son of God. Have you ever noticed that no one ever curses in the name of Allah or Buddah or Madaline Murray O’Hare? Only the name of Jesus and Jehovah are ever used to curse.

With christians making up well over 90% of religious people in America, doesn’t that make it more of a figure of speech rather than a specific shot at christianity ?

      • October 30, 2009 10:09 am

Swemson In regard to your comment about someone yelling “J…. C….” or G.. damn. It is wrong because we are taking the Lord’s name in vain and unless we really ARE yelling out to Jesus to help us or asking G.. to damn someone (which we re not suppose to do) we’re to let our yes be yes and our no be no. I think it boils down to our heart and since God can see our heart, he knows what our intent is. I’m not sure WHY they are used because you never hear someone say “oh Buddha” or Buddha damn you. I always figured it was because anything goes in regard to the Christian faith but heaven forbid if someone else’s religion is reviled like Christianity is.

well the pope had issued from the RC Church, some 860, 000 fake baptism certificates in order to save that many Jews, not to mention have Golda Meir and a host of other prominent Jews & Israelis very grateful and thankful for what he did.

In one instance, Pius lent the Roman Jewish community part payment of a ransom demanded by the Nazis to save several hundred Roman Jews. Prior to becoming Pope, Pius negotiated a Concordat between the Vatican and Germany, which provided that Jews who had converted to Christianity would not be subject to persecution in Germany as Jews. This provision enabled local priests to save tens of thousands of Jews from deporation by issuing fake Baptism certificates. The World Jewish Congress, American Jewish community, Chief Rabbis of Jerusalem, Rome and Budapest, Golda Meir and many other prominent Jewish representatives praised Pius for his relief efforts and public denunciation of racial persecution. In August 2006 extracts from the 60-year-old diary of a nun of the Convent of Santi Quattro Coronati were published in the Italian press, stating that Pope Pius XII ordered Rome’s convents and monasteries to hide Jews during the Second World War.

Pinchas Lapide, a Jewish theologian and Israeli diplomat to Milan in the 1960s, estimated in his book, “Three Popes and the Jews” that Pius “was instrumental in saving at least 700,000 but probably as many as 860,000 Jews from certain death at Nazi hands”

On 21 September 1945, the general secretary of the World Jewish Council, Dr. Leon Kubowitzky, presented an amount of money to the pope, “in recognition of the work of the Holy See in rescuing Jews from Fascist and Nazi persecutions.”

After the war, in the autumn of 1945, Harry Greenstein from Baltimore, a close friend of Chief Rabbi Herzog of Jerusalem, told Pius how grateful Jews were for all he had done for them. “My only regret,” the pope replied, “is not to have been able to save a greater number of Jews.

This vicious anti-Catholic “urban myth Pius XII” was first started by a neo-Nazi in the 1960s and sadly the liberal media has been beating this intolerant & hateful drum EVER SINCE.

The Vatican Archives have been open for decades to allow historians of all faiths & races to invesitage & research them and NOT ONE of these professional researchers HAS EVER FOUND a SHRED OF TRUTH TO SUPPORT THIS ROYAL ANTI-CATHOLIC BULLSH*T.

        cheers.

I agree that saying anything against islam is risky…

But Hollywood basically caters to the American public, and if you think about all of the sitcoms, and most of the drama series on American TV, you’ll see that by far the vast majority of them are focused on life in America, families, kids, doctors, lawyers, police etc…

Islam simply hasn’t been a major part of America, on a dominant issue in American culture for the last 50 years of television… And it certainly isn’t a juicy inspiration for sit coms.

      Jamie;

The answer to your question is two fold.

The first is that the parody wouldn’t be funny (not that many thought this one was funny of course) but when was the last time we heard a story about muslims thinking that they saw a likeness of allah in the shape of a cliff or a vegetable patch?

The second, is that in this INSANE world we’re living in right now, it would be far too politically incorrect…. you’re right.. they would get in trouble if they tried that…

OK, so I hear the christian angst over the erosion of christianity in our culture today, and I can understand it and even sympathize with it….

But what I’d like to know is why we don’t hear too many people speaking out against how INSANE it is that now, all of a sudden, the entire world is screaming that the israelis are the real terrorists….. ?

Well I’d have to go through a great many of the older blogs to find those specific comments, there were at least 2 or 3, but the specific wording in this last comment of yours makes me virtually certain that they all came from the same member….

              But, what you said here,

Message to Swemson…..why a fly on the eye? I stopped reading comments on this site because of your photo ID. Just checked back today to see if it was currently being used.

is sufficient for me to know that you are clearly OBSESSED with it, and that means that you have some serious mental problems, for which I highly recommend that you seek professional help asap !

Hollywood will never portray someone urinating on a Koran, not out of respect for Islam, but out of fear. The so called “religion of peace” isn’t, and its followers would have no problem bombing the producers, actors and studio, just like they did when the British publisher almost published The Jewel of Medina, or perhaps reacting so peacefully like when cartoons were published in Denmark.

While I am not Christian it offends me to see Christianity mocked and denigrated so easily. I will not support or watch Curb Your Enthusiasm for that reason.

I defend the right of anyone to mock and make fun of any mythology, religion or totalitarian ideology(such as Islam), and to speak out freely and criticize all.

I do understand the context of the supposed joke, I just don’t find it funny. Really would it have been so difficult to have him splash water on the picture when looking for a towel to dry his hands?

This could become a new type of protest.

Maybe it could be combined with the “teabagger” movement somehow.

Or perhaps someone should do that on a Youtube video and see how many hits it gets.

Something tells me that some people would riot much like the way Muslims would riot if it was done to Muhammad or the Koran.

First, the best friend Israel has is the American Christian. Most anti-Semitic garbage comes out of the left in this country. Second, regarding the Pope and WW2-(from a Catholic site)-Rabbi Lapide records that “in Rome we saw a list of 155 convents and monasteries—Italian, French, Spanish, English, American, and also German—mostly extraterritorial property of the Vatican . . . which sheltered throughout the German occupation some 5,000 Jews in Rome. No less than 3,000 Jews found refuge at one time at the Pope’s summer residence at Castel Gandolfo; sixty lived for nine months at the Jesuit Gregorian University, and half a dozen slept in the cellar of the Pontifical Bible Institute.”
Notice in particular that the Pope was not merely allowing Jews to be hidden in different church buildings around Rome. He was hiding them in the Vatican itself and in his own summer home, Castel Gandolfo. His success in protecting Italian Jews against the Nazis was remarkable. Lichten records that after the War was over it was determined that only 8,000 Jews were taken from Italy by the Nazis —far less than in other European countries. In June,1944, Pius XII sent a telegram to Admiral Miklos Horthy, the ruler of Hungary, and was able to halt the planned deportation of 800,000 Jews from that country.
The Pope’s efforts did not go unrecognized by Jewish authorities, even during the War. The Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, Isaac Herzog, sent the Pope a personal message of thanks on February 28, 1944, in which he said: “The people of Israel will never forget what His Holiness and his illustrious delegates, inspired by the eternal principles of religion which form the very foundations of true civilization, are doing for us unfortunate brothers and sisters in the most tragic hour of our history, which is living proof of divine Providence in this world.” ”
Why does the Hollywood left pick on Christians, not Muslims? Cowards always pick soft targets. Not too dissimilar from the Whale Wars-Southpark show-they think they are being brave, but they don’t actually do anything that counts.

As a side note… Why ,when I type in the word ‘bible’, it doesn’t tell me to capitalize the “B”,

I’m an atheist —- and I found the story of Larry David’s urination on a picture of Jesus juvenile, as well as gratuitously insulting. Also cowardly, as the Larry Davids of this world would be terrified at the idea of confronting and taking-on The Religion of Peace —- that totalitarian gang of “Killers for God” —- Islam. Larry David may thinkl that anyone who hates America as much as the Muslims do, can’t be ALL bad…. And —- not to change the subject —- but why would God rely on a gang of stinking, filthy-handed murderers to do his dirty work —- when in the blink of an eye, God himself could blow all of his critics, heretics, and apostates, to smoking smithereens? It is said that God created Man, but it is far more likely that Man created God and uses him, and as always, has used him, to authorize the desired murders of one’s opponents.

There has been so-called art that featured a crucifix hanging upside down in a jar of urine, a life-sized chocolate sculpture of Jesus with an invitation for viewers to eat it, a picture of mary surrounded by pictures of female genitalia and cow feces. There are many examples of “art” that denigrates Christianity.
There have been no riots, by anyone.

Christianity is taken advantage of because we are supposed to ‘share the good news,’ and then ‘turn the other cheek’ when attacked. I personally think that Christians (for all their normal, human faults) know how to take the high road. Sure, I am disappointed about this insult from Larry David, but since I believe in Jesus, I know that a picture is not Jesus. Why expect people to act like Christian’s when they are not Christians?

As to urinating on the Koran, well, that would be dangerous. In all my history studies, I’ve noticed that the Muslims have had to literally be kicked out of several countries (Spain, France, Italy) in order for those countries to survive and maintain their national identity. I was on the island of Cyprus in 1974 when the Turks invaded and stole our homes and churches. They had no problem urinating on pictures of Jesus. Cyprus dearly paid for tolerating a partial Islam population by losing 1/2 their island (and many casualties, besides). I’m very concerned for America.

BRAVO! Jamie Glazove ONCE again hits a home run. I would suggest that there is a clear linkage between this Larry David “epiphenomena” ( as my leftist academic colleagues would say) and recent criminal acts.

On ELVISNIXON.COM the parralel is drawn between Mr. Glazov’s point and one by Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter has a post on her website (http://www.anncoulter.com) that show’s she came to the same conclusion ELVISNIXON has regarding the lesson to be learned from the horrific Richmond, California gang rape perpetrated by a government/public school full of illegal immigrants.

    Her headline?:

Doing The Gang Rapes Americans Just Wont Do

That manages to capture the dangerous intransigence of the open borders crowd.

If we have a culture based on Christian ethics and a common agreement of morality, then these crimes would be aberrations and universally condemned. Membership in the illegal alien community is predicated on violating the law of the host country. Their refusal to speak English and force their hosts to accommodate their refusal is representative of their hatred for us.

The L.A Times reported the inarticulate protests of one such Richmond High “.. angry senior complained at a school board “It wasn’t nobody’s fault,” she said. “People shouldn’t be pointing fingers.”

A gang rape by illegal aliens is faultless? Only in Government schools.

Left has an evil “logic” at play here. If you do not want to grant the historical rights of Christian marriage of one man , one woman, then you “hate” homosexuals.

Those who not merely disagree but refuse to heartily endorse “gay” marriage are said to hate homosexuals and somehow are responsible for violence against them.

According to the Left you must not only be silent regarding “gay” marriage, but you must celebrate Harvey Milk Day in schools that you pay for with your tax dollars! No mention is allowed of anything Christian because that would be an endorsement of religion. But you are compelled to pay for children being trained about how wonderful the San Francisco councilman was. ( Ann Coulter made another great quip when she observed that Gubernatorial loser Gavin Newsom “should not have performed all those “gay’ marriages” – maybe the California majority still isn’t buying the party line).

Why then is this logic not extended to criminal illegal aliens? They are breaking the laws of the United States by their presence, by stealing social security numbers, by not paying taxes that we are compelled to. They must , by definition, hate America and Americans by their refusal to adopt our culture and language.

The problem is that the fifth-columnist Left has enjoyed a long march through our cultural institutions (education, media, the arts, even sports). Ask Larry Williams who lost over $600,000 for using a term for homosexuals that they do not care for. They have even infiltrated traditional religion. See my earlier posts on ACORN being subsidized by mainline Christian denominations.

Think ELVISNIXON exaggerates? Ask yourself why writer/comedian and environmental extremist (an extremist for how YOU should behave; he gets to live in an enormous mansion, like Al Gore) is not running for his life as Christians seek to sever his head? When someone completely blasphemes our religion and insults us to the core, we do not call for his death; we don’t send out a world-wide fatwa; heck, we don’t even picket his place of business until he loses his job, like the homosexuals did to a waitress in Los Angeles. Her crime was not urinating on a picture of Bill Clinton or Elton John. She gave a donation in support of traditional marriage.

Would Larry David urinate on a Koran? ( I link to this from ELVISNIXON.com BTW)

Jamie Glazov makes the point that in a recent episode of Mr. David’s execrable Curb Your Enthusiasm he urinates on a picture of Jesus and the ignorant Christians take it to mean that their Lord and Savior is “weeping” much to the hilarity of the sensitive progressives who adore Larry David.

“Those benighted ignoramuses! It’s just urine!” howl the atheists and liberals. “What bravery by Larry David” the shout.

Mr. Glazov continues: “Are producers of this show, or Larry David, or anyone else connected to it fearing for their lives right now? Are there Christian groups calling for the death of anyone in connection to this episode? In comparison, let us say, to the Muhammad cartoons riots and death threats, what does this say about Islam and Christianity? Which faith is a Religion of Peace and which one is not? Would the producers of this show have just as easily allowed a scene in which Larry David urinates on a Koran?”

He couldn’t urinate on a picture of Muhammad because we all know doing so gets you an immediate death sentence.

If Curb Your Enthusiasm had an episode in which Larry David urinated on a Koran, they would be on the front lines saying that this is Islamophobia and that we must be sensitive to the feelings of Muslims. It would be deemed as hate speech, maybe even a hate crime. There would be lawsuits and the show would be canceled and David’s career would be over. (Glazov’s article: http://newsrealblog.com/2009/10/29/would-Larry-David-urinate-on-a-Koran-by-Jamie-Glazov/

Christianity is truly a religion of peace and the hard left is a “religion” of hate. The left is a religion that brands any who dare stand against its dogma as “hateful.”

Is there a link? How can these children be so sick as to applaud and photograph a gang rape by illegal aliens? Because they are illegal aliens and the children of illegal aliens and they are being raised in a culture of hatred against Christianity and the morality that protects the weak against this vicious. The moral law is the ONLY law that is non-partisan. The law of this world always favors the wealthy and the powerful (homosexuals, Liberals) and the many (illegal aliens).

The cultural hegemony of the anti-Christian Larry David “humor” and the Obama administration is bearing fruit.

    Very bitter fruit.

Ok people has everyone forgotten the fact that in the Bible there are not supposed to be any images of god or jesus more to the point the picture in question as well as others are not accurate these are pictures of what people think he might have looked like so if david or any other person defiles a picture of jesus has he really done anything wrong i say no whats wrong is the insanely large number of Christians that continue to put fake faces on the son of god even though the bible clearly states that its a form of idol worship and a sin.
So to all i say take down the pictures and follow the word to the letter or else your complaints and anger and rage are pointless most non Christians see us as hypocrites and this is only one of many reasons also you have so called devoted true Christians that are actually wanting the president to die horribly, and if any of them thinks that God sanctions this kind of thoughts and behavior they are going to have a rude awakening when judgement comes. If we as a group of people want the world to take Christianity as the one true religion we need to follow it closer to show what it is really supposed to be about, and its not about over zealous conservatism or irresponsible liberalism we are showing the world just how confused we really are when it comes to what god wants and expects from his followers just as the Muslims are getting it wrong on what Mohammad was really trying to teach and we cant forget there was a time when Christians killed millions in the name of God, if none of us get it right who is to say God wont decide to wipe us out and start over he”s done it before it would be ignorant and foolish to think it could not happen again 2012 anyone

The More Pertinent Question: Would Larry David urinate on the Talmud?

  30. November 5, 2009 1:29 am

The most sickening FACT here is that Larry David is not just another anti-Christian liberal. He is a patent example of that Talmudic, anti-goy, Ashkenazism (see Maher, Stewart, Deutsch, 15 Senators, 40 House of Reps, etc.) that finds Christians/Christianity not only NOT worthy of owning property, but of whom you can lie to as you choose, and from whom the best should be killed.

And that was just the abstract . . . with much, much, much more to be LEARNED. It is all there to be read.
