Media Matters Attacks ‘Right Wingers’ for ‘Attacking American Muslims’ after Muslim Attacks Americans

In a world gone mad, be grateful the George Soros Steno Pool at Media Matters has its priorities straight.

Thirteen Americans have been murdered by a home grown Islamic terrorist and traitor, but for Media Matters, that’s another precious opportunity to scold their racist, redneck countrymen for asking uncomfortable questions.

Today’s Media Matters’ headline declares: “Right-Wing Media Respond To Fort Hood Shooting By Attacking American Muslims”:

But none of the “right wingers” they cite in their post do any such thing.

Not one of them calls on the federal government to, say, round up and jail American Muslims. Not one suggests the bombing of local mosques, a halt to immigration from Muslim nations, or even giving hijab clad women dirty looks on the subway.

The pundits quoted by Media Matters do mention the Fort Hood shooter by name, obviously, with blogger Pamela Geller calling him a “pig.”

Another blogger, Debbie Schlussel, denounces “all of the other Muslim American traitorous soldiers in the U.S. military who’ve shot their fellow soldiers up and killed them or otherwise helped the enemy” — a pattern soundly documented at Investor’s Business Daily last week.

Like the other “right wingers” singled out by Media Matters (such as Michelle Malkin and Tucker Carlson) Geller and Schlussel confine their comments to the very specific subject of Muslims currently serving in the American military, and how they are being trained and treated. A timely topic for discussion if ever there was one.

Unless you’re a professional leftist at Media Matters, where looking through the wrong end of the telescope is part of the job description.

Nothing Malkin or the others said seemed particularly shocking or outrageous to me, naturally. (Then again, I used up my weekend quota of “outrage” on General Casey, whose recent remarks wouldn’t sound terribly out of place in the Media Matters comments section.)

What I did find troubling was the sheer number of question marks sprinkled among their statements.

Even my fellow “right wingers” — among them the bravest and most outspoken on “our side” —  feel obliged (perhaps by the current rules for polite, politically correct discourse) to “phrase their answers in the form of a question.” Like you have to do on that game show.

What’s it called again? Oh yeah: Jeopardy.

I’m pretty sure it still is. Actually I’m pretty sure it’s racist if you do anything besides bow before the President and recite the “I’m not worthy” chant from Wayne’s World.

It is too bad that Bill Maher is not airing this time of year. He is one Lefty that never bought the PC line on Islamists.

He has more than once stuffed the words back in a guests mouth when they suggested that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic violence.

We need his acid wit telling the media to drop the PC crap and get real on this issue.

I’ve actually been trolling the news sites, particularly left-leaning ones, for stories about “right-wing” Americans lashing out against random Muslims here in the States. Thankfully, since most people understand the difference between the average believer and the extremists, I’ve yet to find anything. Which explains why these idiots are trying so hard to attack people who have backed-up their statements with facts. I hope more and more of the sheeple see through this guise and realize that this is an awful wake-up call to the dangers of over-PC’ing everything, and not recognizing danger for what it is even when it’s staring you in the face.

Their only avenue is to search for the grammatical error and expand upon it to thwart the truth contained in the entire message: Demonstrates, effectively, how narrow minded they are.

I don’t think I’ve developed a sufficiently demented imagination(and believe me, I’ve tried) to understand the tortured logic and deranged mindset that drives the Left’s distorted approach to battling the Right. But I find an upside to this. It renders debate pointless and therefore unnecessary. More time to figure out ways to neuter their destructive intentions.

    But wait, there’s more:

Guy at Foreign Policy magazine asks “obvious” questions, then pleads, “I’m trying to be careful here” — after castigating Hasan’s superiors for… being careful.

Uh, you can’t blame other people for being afraid of losing their jobs for speaking out –while practically apologizing for speaking out yourself.

I don’t care if I offend Muslims, they should be offended that their fellow Muslims kill in the name of their religion. Frankly the left won’t be happy until we are all bowing in submission to the Islamic Supremacists. Perhaps if some brave soul wasn’t scared to offend lives could of been saved, we need to offend the left more not less.

Evan Sayet has some thoughts on this issue.

The modern Liberal is convinced that “[t]he real cause of war, poverty, crime, and injustice must be found–can only be found–in the attempt to be right.”

“If nobody ever thought they were right, what would we disagree about? If we didn’t disagree, surely we wouldn’t fight. If we didn’t fight, of course we wouldn’t go to war. Without war, there would be no poverty; without poverty, there would be no crime; without crime, there would be no injustice. It’s a utopian vision, and all that’s required to usher in this utopia is the rejection of all fact, reason, evidence, logic, truth, morality, and decency–all the tools that you and I use in our attempts to be better people, to make the world more right by trying to be right, by siding with right, by recognizing what is right and moving toward it.”

“What happens is, they are indoctrinated into what I call a ‘cult of indiscriminateness.’ The way the elite does this is by teaching our children, starting with the very young, that rational and moral thought is an act of bigotry; that no matter how sincerely you may seek to gather the facts, no matter how earnestly you may look at the evidence, no matter how disciplined you may try to be in your reasoning, your conclusion is going to be so tainted by your personal bigotries, by your upbringing, by your religion, by the color of your skin, by the nation of your great-great-great-great-great grandfather’s birth; that no matter what your conclusion, it is useless. It is nothing other than the reflection of your bigotries, and the only way to eliminate bigotry is to eliminate rational thought.”

Discrimination is the big boogieman of the Left. In order to never, ever be accused of discrimination, the modern Liberal has chosen to be completely indiscriminate.

I saw that Heritage Foundation speech awhile ago (via the vid link, unfortunately, not in person) and was absolutely amazed at just how exactly right he was about the liberal sickness. Of course, the most elite of academics, having no real productive work to do, have overanalyzed interpersonal relationships and personalities to the extent that this makes perfect sense to them. They’ve completely lost touch with ‘quality, reason, right and good’ that they thrive on pulling down whatever shows those qualities (obviously obtained through discrimination somewhere!) and elevating what lacks quality and reason, and what is wrong and evil. It’s unfortunate we’ve effectively handed them the keys to the asylum so many years ago, because now we live in their idiocracy, and it is we who threaten their vision of normalcy. sad

    Westernized immigrants ONLY.

  12. November 9, 2009 4:24 pm

I would suggest calling Nidal Malik Hasan an “extreme Left Wing operator.” His policy positions concerning the military’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan surely are simpatico. He proceeded to accomplish something that I have seen on posterboard at a number of left wing “rallys.”

So call him a “Left Wing Extremist.” Let the liberal left sort out the radical Muslim Jihadist part on their own in defense of their own “good” name.

The problem with Media Matters not a wit. In lock step with other organs of the Obama machine . Is there utter lack of reasoning or even an atom of logic. They can’t seem to whistle up the brains to figure out that Conservatives don’t hate Muslims as much as the cause of the ground zero of this death cult. Islam!
I despise Communism & what it did in killing multiple millions. If not the trillions in material damage. The re-introduction of slavery by work camp.I feel the same towards the Nazis. Fellow socialists who DE-humanized mankind into animals. Does it mean I hate Germans, Russians, or Individual Muslims?
Nope I pity there under such beastly systems of oppression. That takes away their humanity, for a dogmatic hunger for murder. In the name of dead men who looked at mankind as an infection to be channeled for its own demise.
Socialism like Islam & its imitators are cults to human sacrifice , not just politics.
By their fruit you shall know them!

Now let me walk down memory lane didn’t the 911 butchers partake of strippers before they unleashed their murderous blood bath? First ties to the Mosque, then he follows the Jihadi tradition of finding a cheap sexual thrill before commencing the Jihad. Yea I’ll wait, no I won’t.

Another reason is called PTSD by proxy, the stress of treating PTSD in other soldiers make you go a little crazy yourself. Its even more stressful because most of the higher ranks don’t even believe in such thing as PTSD. Their denial prompts them to tell suffering soldiers to “drink it off.” Some civilians in the defense dept feel the same way no doubt IMO, it’s why hardly anything is mentioned of PTSD until one of these violent episodes occurs. These people see PTSD as a cop-out or an excuse. First we need to have an understanding that PTSD actually is real before we can ever hope to help treat it (does anyone believe that being shot at or killing your fellow man is not going to affect you in some way either then or in the future?). I guess with the high soldier suicide rate before and after deployment kinda takes care of the complaints from coming in (so those who said he should have just killed himself, well that’s already happening ). What real ticked me off when I heard that the military was trying to say that some soldiers coming back from this war with PTSD or other psychological disorders had “Pre-Existing Conditions” and that the military would not pay to treat them, I think it has been corrected but what a bunch of asses they break you and don’t want to pay.

The final issue is why does the military want to keep people in their ranks that no longer want to be there is it just sheer number? I mean is it ten percent, twenty percent. Is it that it is the only contract in the US that you can’t get out of unless to kill yourself or kill your fellow soldiers? It does not make any sense to me.

I guess the Major could just be another wacko like Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nicholas, of course McVeigh was executed and apparently because Nicholas became a Christian he received a life sentenced. I real think if he gets that far the Major will get the former and not in a million years the latter.

This is so messed up, hopefully they will make some changes that make sense.

Media Matters and there pals at all the left wing alphabet networks really no longer matter. We are talking life and death I am offended that this murderous adherent of the religion of peace was allowed to remain in the military while his cowardly superiors knew of his radical views. Call me insensitive but I am for a moratorium on importing any more possible terrorist till we get a better handle on this thing and yes I understand that Hasan was native born.

I don’t know about others, but I know that my 84 years, in the Army and before and after, did not prepare me to accept Major Hzasam’s traitorous terrorist act as simply a singular, untoward event. And although I am sure that there are Muslims to whom such acts are anathema, the vermin are present within the Muslim society in the United States and must be rooted out–no matter what manner of Political Correctness has encouraged commanders, such as General Casey, to try to excuse traitorous and murderous acts such as the one perpetrated by Major Hasan. I have begun to question whether the Army in which served during three wars, between 1944 and 1973 , is no longer the one I knew. The General is failing his troops and is no longer a trustworthy commander. He should retire.

I think the major Hasan shooting rampage is one of many incidents thats becoming a common story in the military, sadly it’s not just muslims solders thats killing their fellow solders. The frequency of these events are apparent, there where warning signs that where ignored.I think some of those incidents could have been prevented if the military acted on the warning signs. One thing that could cause the military to overlook the warning signs is,when they tell the solders to suck it up, if there’s a mental or physical injury that the solders dealing with.

It used to be considered wise judgment to use “discrimination” when deliberating a choice. Now it is, of course, racist, and therefore impossible to apply intelligence to a situation. Of course, now that almost any task, proposal, or statement can be framed in terms of racism, there is no escaping being a racist no matter how hard you try not to give the real, or imagined, impression thereof.

I propose that everyone who loves their country accept the mantle of “racist”, ignore the shrill tones of the brainless left (hello George Soros), and move on toward what really matters, which, in the case of the Fort Hood tragedy, is rooting out extremists and terrorists regardless of their origin.

  22. November 11, 2009 3:15 am

Chris Rowan – wish I’d said that!
Montana – PSTD means POST-traumatic stress disorder, not PRE-traumatic stress disorder.
Wineplz – Great post, but I do take issue with your statement “Thankfully, since most people understand the difference between the average believer and the extremists…” As far as I’m concerned, the belief that there are “good” and “bad” moslems is the precise reason why we’re faring so poorly in our efforts to awaken our fellow citizens to the peril at our doorstep.
The simple truth of the matter is that all moslems are bad guys. Of course, only a very small percentage perpetrates violent acts like this despicable Fort Hood atrocity or 9/11; still, what is the position of the “silent majority” of moslems on the issue? What happened to Malkin’s islamic yoke-fellows at the mosque? Why did none of them alert the authorities? We see this distressing scenario played out ad infinitum and ad nauseum whenever these tragedies occur; abortive conspiracies are never the result of information brought forward by informants within the islamic community, but always as a consequence of the committed and sophisticated investigative techniques of our brave law enforcement and military personnel.
For those who have not already done so, I most strongly recommend that they read Mr. Robert Spencer’s most recent publication “Stealth Jihad.” The author proposes, in my view perfectly correctly, that the menace to our tolerant, pluralistic and democratic societies does not come in through the front door by means of the spectacular carnages inflicted upon us by the bin ladens and attas, but rather through the back door of financial domination and usurpation of our government and civilian institutions. It is quite probable that the stealth jihadists are very unhappy with the conduct of the militants, as their actions draw unwanted attention to the goals of islam, which are at present quietly and quite efficiently being met by the simple process of outbreeding us kufr at the rate of between three and four to one.
The technique is as old as deception itself – the old badger game, the “good cop/bad cop” routine.
Mein koranf, as opposed to the sacred writings of all other major religions and belief systems, such as Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, Ba’hai, Humanism, etc., etc., preaches no “golden rule,” but rather unadulterated venom, spleen, hatred and misogyny.
Why have we been unable to “tell it like it is?” Our parents and grandparents had no difficulty in unequivocably denouncing hitler, tojo, mussolini and stalin; what on earth is our problem in clearly, succinctly and publicly denouncing islam?
