Media Matters figures we’re asking for it or something

November 20, 2009

Being a leftist means you get to give a widely disputed one-degree rise in temperature the ominous handle “global warming,” then cook up a giant scam around it.

And in the leftist land inhabited by Media Matters, you won’t believe what passes for “obsession.”

Today they ask: “Why are so many media conservatives so obsessed with rape?”

Conservative commentators such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Michael Savage frequently employ rape metaphors when discussing progressives or progressive policies. For example, Beck said that New Yorkers are “being raped by [their] government,” while Limbaugh, during a discussion of health care, told his listeners: “Get ready to get gang-raped again.

So what counts as “frequently” and “obsessed”? According to Media Matters’ own list of “evidence,” that would be… twelve uses of the word “rape” by Limbaugh, Beck and Savage. Since 2006.

One was in reference to the “Haditha ” incident. When some Marines were falsely accused of… rape.

Imagine asking some anonymous employee to look up how many times three talk show hosts said the word “rape” on the air for the last three years.  Weird. One might almost use the word… “obsessive.”

The good news is: if that poor guy with the George Soros Steno Pool who got stuck with that task is looking for a new gig, I hear David Frum is hiring!

Media Matters has become the new manual of Modern English Usuage. It’s principles conflict itself to the point the reader can not distinguish which sentence is the correct or incorrect example.

Kathy, I think you might want to check your history book on that, they were accused of murder. Maybe that was a typeo on your part. 🙂

Media Matters may be outliving its usefulness. There are now simply too many conservative individuals on the Internet able to almost instantly rebuke its deceitful press releases. It would not surprise me if George Soros shuts it down in the near future. But the damage has been done. Soros got a lot in return for his modest financial investment. Left-wing propagandists have been enormously successful polluting the minds of the middle-of-the-road Americans who don’t spend a lot of time worrying about political issues. They are easily confused by well orchestrated lies.

Kathy, good work on pointing out their obsessions. It’s part of the leftist nanny state policing of the language. They want to steal your language. You are not competent enough to use words correctly. Not just this word but many words have been stolen from us. Many reply posting sites have been disemboweled by the nanny word patrol. Americans are not even allowed to use the English language in the way in was intended lest someone somewhere be offended.

Let’s see, Kathy is quick to point out spelling/grammar errors by Eric of Media Matters, but when I point out factual errors she made about Haditha and rape there is no response from anyone. Doesn’t anyone edit blog posts for correctness? Even her link to DiscovertheNetworks doesn’t support what she wrote.

its because you didn’t read the article and Kathy here is lying about it’s contents. The fact that some people were raped in Haditha didn’t have anything to do with the use of the word cited in the article.

“It is going to be a gang rape. There is going to be a gang-rape by a Democratic Party, the American left, and the drive-by media to finally take us out in the war against Iraq. Make no bones about it.”

That’s why they didn’t answer you. Your “correction” is based on FPM….

They are all pretty recent except the one from 2006

One was in reference to the “Haditha ” incident. When some Marines were falsely accused of… rape.

Yeah but he said,”It is going to be a gang rape. There is going to be a gang-rape by a Democratic Party, the American left, and the drive-by media to finally take us out in the war against Iraq. Make no bones about it.”

Which is why it was included in the article.

I don’t know why the use of rape and gang rape is a favorite analogy, but that’s the way it is with these guys.

Rush said yesterday we were all getting raped…I didn’t see that on the list…

Rape has many definitions, after all this is English, one of the hardest languages to learn.
    Rape:
An act of plunder, violent seizure, or abuse; despoliation; violation: the rape of the countryside. The act of seizing and carrying off by force, to plunder (a place); despoil,to seize, take, or carry off by force. Abusive or improper treatment; violation: a rape of justice.

So, Savage & Beck- they are right, and the left, as usual whining and ready to foam at the mouth like a demon is wrong .

Obviously the word “rape” falls into a number of categories, usage wise, but only one is common today. This claim that the right has taken over the word rape is just another way of crying “sexist” in a crowded theater… “racist” doesn’t make sense here, but the unspoken implication that conservatives are a bunch of bigots is front and center.

I get the serious feeling that even they are too far out these days, and their credibility must start to erode, even with middle America. After all, even the most ignorant among us has “seen the man behind the curtain”, and is getting wise. When only committed socialists and ugly Leftists are left in their camp, we will be that much closer to winning. Kathy, et al, please keep pointing out how ridiculous they are.

    Dear madjewess,
Bubba and Harmon didn’t know “rape” had such a wide definition. I think it’s their minds that need to be cleaned up, as well as their act.

Believe me Janet, I know the word “rape” has a wide range of definitions. You guys simply don’t want to admit that Kathy was wrong when she said the Marines were accused of rape when they were actually accused of MURDER!

This comes to no surprise because conservatives can’t admit error, they sure expect it from others, however.

‘when they were actually accused of MURDER!’

        Soldiers are NOT murderers.
I was on an email thread with Media Matters, and 2 mos. ago these rat communist schmucks had every intention of ousting Dobbs. These gas-bag lunatics hate America, they only like free speech when it suits their agenda…other than that- ALL BETS ARE OFF. Bullies, ploteriats, and downright evil, satanic scum.

WHEN, Harmoon, can leftists EVER admit that THEY are just about always wrong?

There is a scripture in the New Testament that I really like…
The “Lord” says; “Those who are on the LEFT of me, prepare for hell and its demons. Those on the RIGHT, prepare for heaven and its mansions”
Something to that affect… I like it 🙂

    Sigh…..

I suppose that conservatives will stop playing the liberal paradigm game once they’ve lost everything and have to start at the bottom, fighting tyranny and theft all over again, like in 1776.

The writings of leftists are like the silver linings on a dark cloud, the more they write the more they reveal just how awfull they really are.
