Poor Al Gore – Debunked By the Very Internet He Created
After years of listening to a bloviating Al Gore, and his obtuse band of Hollywood disciples, preach to us all about mankind’s ravenous destruction of the natural world, top climate researchers have been caught with their thermometers in the cookie jar… or, something like that.
Not only have top climate researchers been “manipulating” data to support their theories of global warming, they have also thrown out much of the original data!
“Why would you throw out raw data from the 80s? I still have Penthouse’s from the 70s – laminated.”
That’s right Stewart! And I have a salon-size, “33% More Free” can of Aqua Net waiting to make a comeback.
Yes – the practice of behavioral control by guilt is once again the sole purview of the Catholic Church. All you global warming, low-emissions, carbon-footprint freaks will have to find some other shtick.
While I’m at it, get a load of this, all you greenies –
- I drive an SUV that gets 11 miles to the gallon, highway
- Every now and then, I throw recyclable containers in the regular trash can
- Sometimes, I throw cigarette butts out my car window
Watch Jon Stewart break it down, as only he could. (Click on photo.)
Wait kids – there’s more. The Wall Street Journal posted entire emails from this hacking incident at http://bit.ly/7lX0Kc, but here are a few gems from the treasure trove —
“The two MMs have been after the CRU [Climate Research Unit] station data for years. If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the U.K., I think I’ll delete the file rather than send to anyone. Does your similar act [FOIA] in the U.S. force you to respond to enquiries within 20 days?—our does! The UK works on precedents, so the first request will test it. We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind. Tom Wigley has sent me a worried email when he heard about it – thought people could ask him for his model code. He has retired officially from UEA so he can hide behind that. We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind.”
— Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit and one of the world’s leading climate scientists, in a 2005 email to someone named “Mike”
“Ammann/Wahl – try and change the Received date! Don’t give those skeptics something to amuse themselves with.”
“… I’m providing these for your own personal use, since you’re a trusted colleague. So please don’t pass this along to others without checking w/ me first. This is the sort of “dirty laundry” one doesn’t want to fall into the hands of those who might potentially try to distort things…”
“I’ve received lots of helpful suggestions regarding improvements to the Figures. I’ll try to produce revised versions of the Figures tomorrow.”
