Part IV: To Have and Have Not

Saul Alinsky came of age in the 1930s as a Communist fellow-traveler (as his biographer Sanford Horwitt tells us in Let Them Call Me Rebel), but his real social milieu was the world of the Chicago mobsters to whom he was drawn professionally as a sociologist.  In particular he sought out and became a social intimate of the Capone gang and of Capone enforcer Frank Nitti who headed the gang when Capone was sent to prison in 1931.  Later Alinsky said, “[Nitti] took me under his wing. I called him the Professor and I became his student.” (p. 20) While Alinsky was not oblivious to the fact that criminals were dangerous, like a good leftist he held “society” — and capitalist society in particular — responsible for creating them.

Alinsky never joined the Communist Party but instead became an avatar of the post-modern left. Like other post-modern leftists he understood that there was something deeply flawed in the Communist outlook,  but like them he never really examined what those flaws might be — in particular never interrogated the Marxist view of society and human nature, or its connection to the epic crimes that Marxists had committed. Instead, Alinsky identified the problem as “dogmatism” and the solution as “political relativism.” The Alinsky radical has one principle — to take power from the so-called Haves and give it to the so-called Have-nots. What this amounts to, we shall see, is a political nihilism (Rules for Radicals, p. 110) — a destructive assault on the established order in the name of the “people,” which delivers power (and wealth) into the hands of a radical elite and makes them feel good about themselves in the process.

We have seen this kind of leftism before. The chaos that ensued after the first shots of the French Revolution created the perfect environment for the Jacobins to conduct their reign of terror. But of course, these folks aren’t looking for governance, just payback.

Guys, you don’t need a bloody revolution–you need to be at your polling places making sure that you vote. All this does is feed your leftist machine and give them ammo to point to you as “terrorists.” Engage them and make them explain what it is they’re trying to do then point out the lies. The cannot explain their plans or your people would barf all ovoer them.

One problem with this theory is that the Alinskites and Obamaphiles do not and will not play by the rules themselves, they harbor contempt and a complete disregard for American society, and Western civilization for that matter. It’s all very well and good to say that everyone opposed to these goons should play clean, and that those opposed should surge en mass to the polls on election day, but you shouldn’t worry about whether these goons will call their opponents nasty names, they will believe me. Sure, they can label conservatives, constitutionalists, and libertarians as terrorists, as a matter of fact they already have, but you cannot let fear of this over ride everything else if more assertive action needs to be taken. These people are thugs and some are actual terrorists, they are dedicated to the destruction of society from within and they need to be stopped. Hopefully those in support of freedom will win the day, but if they don’t the gloves will need to be taken off when there is nothing to loose. As Joseph Stalin supposedly stated, “It doesn’t matter how they vote it’s who does the counting”, and ACORN aims to be the one doing the counting.

What if we lose in the 2010 elections? We will not be America anymore and we will have taken the step off the cliff, it will be too late to restore America of our Founding. At that point , We the People, will have to make a decision and that decision will be: A: Do we roll over and die without a wimper? or B: Do we fight back, like our forefathers against King George of England only this time it’ll be dictator Obama? These are questions we must ask and prepare ourselves for. No one wants a revolution, but that is what we have in the making now, a bloodless revolution. If it isn’t stopped, we will have a bloody revolution.

Unfortunately, we are kidding ourselves. There will never be another valid election again in America. Before his term is over Obama will legalize all illegals. He will have the vote of all welfare recipiants, Liberals, progressives, and far left socialists. He will corner the vote and if we don’t act quickly and assert some leadership there will never be another chance to save our system of liberty.

Before considering a Bloody War, let’s first consider an Economic War. We know this is all about Power, of which money is one piece of that pie. We also know Socialism always implodes upon itself. “Always run out of other people’s money.” Knowing that, let’s force the hand of the Leftist Tyrants and show those Welfare Recipients how their system works. I propose a 10 Million Working Man March as a Coordinated Effort by those of us who are Doers in this Country to band together and Go to the beach. We do not need to let it be known by marching on Washington. That would just make us a target. Rather, take a 3 – 6 month period where we cut back to bare essentials so as to shrink our tax receipts that they are using to fund the war against us. Isn’t it rather sadistic that we are paying them to defeat us?

This cannot be a Binge and Purge, but a Fast or simply take your foot off the gas peddle for a while. Business Owners – Drop your prices to keep your customers, reduce payroll (fire dead wood and the Liberals on staff), hire Sub-Contractors instead of Full or Part Timers, buy goods and services from Small Business whenever possible. We are all legally able to give (Gifting) up to $15000 to any number of people per year that we wish (can afford). Help your neighbor as much as possible without hurting your own family. Barter when possible, which isn’t reportable till the Next Year on your returns. Use Local Currency instead of Green Backs.

Hunt and Grow – It is fun and very low cost. Hydroponics produces some lush and nutritious food. Stock your freezer and get lean meat that tastes great. Pork and venison is a great combination. Duck, pheasant and goose – the other Red Meat!

I am sure there are many more ways to reduce your own exposure to the IRS and Local Tax Authorities. Be sure to share.

Of course, this will sting a bit, but bullets kill.

The answer to our world’s problems lies in Prayer…repentance…turning back to God……and fasting.
If the people are to live in the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, many wars would be averted…..we must turn back to prayer.
We are not fighting flesh and blood but the unseen spiritual world and only through PRAYER will the world find true PEACE

I find the comments about “taking it back” amusing. Horowitz’ whole series here makes points about the left I agree with but why the silence on the heavy handed, opaque actons of Bush et al in the previous 8 years? As if we were not alarmed and dismayed by all that.

If you/we/they keep this up we will have another electoral spasm just like we did with Obama. Next time it will be the radical right (again but worse).

I find Horowitz guilty of perpetuating the illusion in our democracy that there is a choice, when in reality you’re voting for one wing or the other of the same bird. If only thoughtful, informed people voted, this would be a true representative democracy. What we have is spastic, reactionary, crude, media controlled and mob ruled.

You people are definitely idealists, and extremists. I know this because I’m a true conservative. I see how you are defining and trying to convince yourselves of some fantasy existence or history that you have no involvement in. The philosphical non-sense that is being discussed here is unrealistic, and far more fascist than anything the left is doing or saying. Social justice is real, and to deny the existence and relevance of improving overall quality of life that exists disproportionately within the Haves, Have Nots, and Have Nots that want to be Haves is just plain blindness. You all need to get out and understand how complex society is. Get out of your chairs, drive around your urban or suburban poor areas and get involved to understand why this exists. How has this occurred? These people you see do not understand what is necessary to become active as a positive force in society – and it is the conservatives fault for not having an effective method to educate without judgement and rejection of these ideals that you all seem to believe, but are unable to embody in sensical and effective policy. Now that you lost power because of failed leadership, you spend all your time arguing and battling against change, but you forget why this situation has occurred in the first place. Your concepts don’t work and need to be revised to accomodate the massive social complexities that our countries founding fathers had no idea could or would exist.  ACORN and the community activism groups are designed to do just that. Conservatives have no plan to resolve this other than rejecting the ideas of those who are trying to raise the levels of education, poverty, integration and business involvement. A black President is a great thing! And social change is also very important. Conservatives do not plan to change for the better. Instead, they are talking revolution. This is extremism because it ignores the very fact that out Congress and Supreme court are designed to balance change when requested by the American people through new Administrations. The end is not near, but a new beginning has dawned and we’re all a part of a major change in our country to root out corruption and abuse, mostly by Conservative republicans and special interests that they serve. To say this is not true and not the reason why the GOP was rejected is again a rejection of reality.
